Weight Loss Injections – Mounjaro Update

As from yesterday it has been on the news GP’s can now issue weight loss injections. In the black country we are still not able to so please do not ask for an appointment to discuss. We will update our website and Facebook when the service is available for patients who may be eligible.

When we can issue prescriptions it will be for patients with BMI to be 40 or more (37.5 for people from minority ethnic backgrounds)

and have obstuctive sleep aponea on CPAP and have atleast three of the following Type 2 Diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, dyslipidaemia. With strict monitoring.

Please do not use GP appointment time to discuss as it stops patients with medical needs getting in to see the GP.
